Fun with Slush

Last week I started reading slush for Flash Fiction Online. I like reading submissions. It’s not because I’m trying to see if I can make people swear off writing forever. No, really. What I like is finding the good stories, the ones that make me pause in my busy day and think this one.

Plus, I like the challenge of articulating what I like or don’t like about each story, whether the comment will ever be sent to the author or not.
